Alex MacIntyre
Director of AI & Technology Strategy
Alex is the person you call when a client says, “We want AI… but it also has to pass government audit.” With a Scottish–Irish family line that literally comes from builders (“Mac an tSaoir” — son of the carpenter), he approaches technology the same way: solid foundations first, clever design on top.
He studied Software Engineering (Hons) at the University of Melbourne, then went on to specialise in data, AI and governance — including time in the US, which gave him a healthy habit of translating tech into business English. Today he works across AWS and Azure, and is annoyingly good at cost optimisation and serverless for Australian workloads.
Before joining us, Alex delivered digital and AI projects for government, healthcare and large enterprises, often playing the “technical translator” between CISOs, product people and execs. He’s comfortable in rooms where compliance, architecture and politics all show up at the same time.
Clients like him because he’s direct, funny without being casual, and very good at explaining why something can be done — and what it will actually cost. Inside the team, he’s the one we lean on for AI roadmap decisions, LLM deployment patterns, and “will this pass an Australian regulator?” conversations.
